Never heard of SAFe before, but now I understand why Melissa doesn't reccomend it.

It's basically Scrum for larger organizations and includes so many layers and roles!

Useful summary thank you. I didn't have the "full context" on Agiles history in Utah so found that helpful. However, the "Silicon Valley" vs "Rest of World" approach is getting a little tired.

Great companies build remarkable products outside SV. I appreciate some USA larger banks and telcos are still in the learning phase but there is a huge amount of good product development all over the world not just in SF.

Thanks, Melissa, for breaking this down. The last 2 corporate jobs I had implemented SAFe (and they were 2 very different types of organizations in terms of customer profiles and mandates). I will never work at a company that implements SAFe again. It became an excuse for people not using their brains to do their jobs, and to let the process lead the product. Then it morphed into a CYA exercise as to why things didn't get done.
