Thank you. This made have been the longest episode but it was also one of the most valuable and that is saying something given how high the bar is set by this podcast. I love the talks by high profile authors e.g. Kim Scott, Jeffrey Pfeffer, Matt Dixon etc... but this was "real talk". This was the real pain of failing 8 times and getting up 9. This was tactical. This was edgy. Love it!
So much valuable takeaways I can't list them all.
I even loved how to bring "real talk" into interviews - perfect!
Thank you Tanguy. I particularly liked the "hydrofoil" bit you mentioned right at the end. We got an e-foil this summer so my kids have spent everyday perfecting their technique. The analogy for what you have achieved at Atlassian was not lost on me. You have stayed under the water for a long time until the velocity draws you up and up and then the friction falls away. Learning to foil is hard. Incubating, iterating and integrating is so hard but clearly so worthwhile! Keep flying!
Then there are 0 to 1 components(user products) that are essential to a total product UX launch's first MLP(minimum loveable product) I have 5 that will complete end-to-end ops, the entire value chain. IMO. each requires its own PMs. This takes deep knowledge of your customers, data, business, and market.
